RPF network on NIA hitlist Centre orders crackdown on outfit
The Telegraph | Pankaj Sarma | Guwahati, Nov. 4:
The Centre has asked National Investigation Agency (NIA) to crack down on the Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) — the political wing of the Manipur militant outfit, People’s Liberation Army (PLA). An official source told The Telegraph today that the Union home ministry vide order number F. No 8/38/2009-NE-I (IS.IV) had entrusted NIA with the task of busting the well-organised network of RPF in Manipur and beyond.
“The NIA will basically try to break the financial and political links of the RPF, which is allegedly prodding the people of Manipur to wage war against the country through terrorist activities,” he said.
