Richard Loitam Death: Friends and kin sneer at cardiac arrest theory
The Telegraph | K.M. Rakesh | Imphal, May 18
A forensic test done to determine the cause of Manipuri student Loitam Richard’s death has concluded that he died of a hereditary cardiac problem.
The final report submitted to the local police stated that Richard died of a cardiac arrest and was not murdered, as feared by his family, friends and the larger northeastern community.
“I have seen the final report and it says unnatural death. But we are not convinced about this theory and hence want a CBI inquiry to find the real cause of his death,” Monika Khangembam, the Manipuri student who spearheaded the community’s campaign in the city, told The Telegraph.
