Focusing on the gamut of health, a five-day photo exhibition on the theme ‘Health & Family Welfare’ was set into motion tuesday at Khangshim Community Hall in Chandel District. The campaign which would continue till June 14 was inaugurated by H Khamba, Senior Prerak, Model Adult Education Centre, Khanshim as Chief Guest.
The program is being organized by the Field Exhibition Office, Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Imphal in collaboration with Khangshim Village Authority.
Rolling the campaign into motion, H Khamba said that health should be the top priority of one’s life. He said that health is necessary for the overall growth and development of human beings. Pointing out that a healthy body is require for the development of healthy mind and soul, Khamba calls for practising healthy habits in order to attain healthy life.

The Chief Guest noted that the photos which are on being displayed provides good and well meaning information one’s requires for a healthy living. He also appealed to the gathering to visit the exhibition hall so as to learn many things about health-related issues.
Proposing the keynote address, Dr Gin Gangte, IIS, Field Exhibition Officer, DAVP, Imphal said that the development of a nation is co-related with the health and well-being of its citizen. “We can be able to have a healthy nation only when its citizens are healthy”, he said. Provoking the maxim ‘Health is Wealth’, the Field Exhibition Officer explains that a healthy life is requires for achieving success in life.

Sharing the initiative being undertaken by the Government, TS Khaling, Finance Mangaer, Tengnoupal Block, NRHM, emphasized the important role being played by ASHA. Appealing to the public to develop healthy lifestyle, he said that the photos which are on being displayed conveys the true faces of the gamut of health.
The program was presided by Smt S. Hat Helen, Headmistress, Khangshim Primary School. A number of villagers, social workers, women and school children attended the program. A total of 40 exhibition panels are being displayed during the campaign.
The inauguration program concluded with the words of thanks from H. Deepakkumar Sharma, IIS, Exhibition Assistant, DAVP, Imphal.
