Dawn of every 27th August, we woke up to the above thought provoking, pin-pricking song, played loud in the loud speakers (‘maayeep’ as it used to be call) at Pishum Chingamacha.
Are we going to keep thinking about what we should be doing or do something what we have been thinking? Are we still going to simply keep shrugging our shoulders and blame the system - full of flaws, or shall we start doing things we can without waiting for the system to improve? The truth is - thinking can happen from an armchair, doing must happen on our feet. Thinking must be a great way of starting, but doing is the only way to get things done. Let's face it - we never really get caught in a traffic jam? We are the traffic jam! This must change, and it's possible if some of us dare to be the changed. Let’s stop basking in the glorious past or day dreaming about the great future. Let's start by dominating today and domination starts with “DO”. Dear people of Manipur, let’s start doing whatever we can in ways small or big. You have got the ideas, you have got the urge, all that you have to do now is to stand up and do. Don’t be scared, when you don’t see the way, just keep walking, the way will come. It's not so bad, There's still a chance for us. Hey you, Just be yourself, Don't be so shy, There's reasons why it's hard Keep it together, You'll make it alright, Poets and prophets, Would envy what you do, This could be good. Hey you, you have got a choice, one day it will make sense. Hey you.
