Greetings from the Public Health Foundation of India!
As you might be aware, The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public private initiative that has collaboratively evolved as a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of Public Health.
We are pleased to announce admissions to our 2016 batch of online Certificate Course on Tobacco Control 2016, which is in its 6th year of successful running since 2011. It is a distance learning course, initiated with support from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and technical inputs from John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California.
We will be highly grateful if you can circulate the attached brochure to any potential candidates. Program officers working in any health program from government or private sector are eligible to apply for this course.
The course aims at strengthening the technical capacity and orientation of public health and health care professionals on tobacco control in India. The course focuses on sensitizing and informing professionals and equips them with tobacco control skills which in turn can be integrated into their professional practices. With E-learning, the candidates will have the flexibility to study at their own pace while keeping their current job or academic commitments. We encourage graduates from medical, dental, social work, psychology, anthropology, nursing and other relevant fields and other technical experts to enroll in this learning opportunity.
