Over 20 quakes felt across NE in nine months
Nagaland Post | Agencies | Shillong, Sep 25 ()
If reports coming out of Earthquake Track (a premier earthquake tracking website) is accurate then in the last nine months there have been as many as 23 earthquakes in the Northeast.
Almost all earthquakes have happened in the Tuensang, Phek, districts of Nagaland and a few more on Wangling, Manipur. Assam and Arunachal have also had earthquakes in Lakhipur, Haliakandhi and Tezu amongst others. This is significant as most of the earthquakes have shown a pattern across the Myanmar border.
Experts are long saying that these frequent earthquakes are not to be taken lightly as there is a likelihood of a strong earthquake as it is long overdue.
