'Open Unity Sports Meet' at Sikibung village , Phungyar
NPF is the only Political Party for Hill People in Manipur.
Mr Hopingson A. Shimray (retd IRAS) an intending candidate of NPF from 43 Phungyar AC stated that NPF is the only party and solution for the entire hill people in Manipur. Speaking on the occasion of “Open Unity Sports Meet” at Sikibung village as chief guest and further interacting to the villages elders post sports meet, he said that unity is the necessity of the hour to fight against the dividing forces of hill people in Manipur.
Irrespective of tribe, every community residing in the hill of Manipur should work together with understanding and unity for the success of NPF in the forthcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly 2017 election he added.
Hopingson A. Shimray stated that it is the regional party like NPF who will stand and defend the rights of tribal communities in Manipur. Since the constitution of India has enshrined special power and rights under Article 371 (C) with the provision for “Hill Area Committee”, it is under this right that people should be governed with implementation of the given Article in letter and spirit.
'Open Unity Sports Meet' at Sikibung village , Phungyar
The sports meet was organized by Sikibung Katamnao Long (SKL) which is participated by 17 teams from the 10 neighboring villages including some Kuki villages. The sports was also attended by Maj. Ujjwal Singh, Post commander, 17 Assam Rifle as Guest of honour, Hemkhothang Baite Chief, Litan Sareikhong and many other important community leaders.
Mr. Hopingson A. Shimray urged upon all the teams and villagers present during the sports meet to equivocally support and elect representative of NPF for the larger interest of the hill people in Manipur.
