One more footstep ahead for our Handloom Industry
Imphal, 19 February 2014:
This is a very fortunate moment in the history of Manipur's handloom industry. 13th to 15th February 2014 are very remarkable day in our handloom industry. Yes, this day, one of the reputed store 'West Side Store' from Tata Company accompanied by Ms. Madhulike Damani and Krishna Mehta, Designer from Mumbai Base visited Manipur specially to study our very traditional design pattern - Moirang Fijin Hatpa Design.
The Designers visited many Handloom related places to see how our weavers are working. They very much appreciated the culture of our (Manipuri) lady weavers. They also met with Minister Govindas as well as Ex-Principal Secretary, O. Nabakishore Singh IAS.
Our Ministers help a lot and appreciated all the entreprenuers for such a great job. Mrs. Chirom Indira (Secretary - All Manipur Handloom Export Development Entreprenuers Consortium) played a leading role to bring them here in Manipur . Mrs. Chirom Indira is working very hard to promote Manipuri Handloom products in the National and International level. We can proudly say that Mrs. Indira is taking an active role to bringing up our handloom products to such higher level.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish her all the very success and to our Handloom industry too. Also, wish all the entrepreneurs in making the visit a success .
God!!! may you please help to bringing up our Handloom industry in such level so that this industry can contribute immensely to our socio economic condition .
With best regards
Pito Hijam
