Nostalgia
Tanushree Baral *
The thread invisible
Have bound us for eternity
In the summery West
While I stroll near the green hills
A nostalgic fragrance of the orchids
Comes floating from the cascade ranges
Reminding me of the hills of ten years back
Who stood in front of my eyes
As my muse
Inspiring me to scribble endless lyrics.
The sailing clouds,the Siroi lilies,
The dancing droplets on the tin roofs
Tickles the nerves of my slumbering eyes
To drag me to the window sill
And sprinkle my whole being
With the splash of dripping breeze.
The spill of colours on the vast canvas of life
Has created multiple collages
With different meanings;
The memory of your beauty and serenity
Brings in a new shivering
Of another moonlit night
