Northeast students want CBI to probe deaths of Loitam Richard, Dana Sangma
Headlines News | IANS | Shillong, May 13
More than 200 students from Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura studying here today held a protest against the death of two northeastern students in Gurgaon and Bangalore last month, saying they fell victim to racial bias.
They alleged that the police were not properly investigating into the deaths of Richard Loitam and Dana Sangma due to racial discrimination. They said that the cases should be converted into that of homicide and investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation. They also sought action against those responsible for the incidents.
