NORTH EAST COMMUNITY ORGANISATION, PUNE (NECoP)
The North East Students’ Community Forum, Pune had a Public Meeting on 23rd September, 2012 @ Union Biblical Seminary, Bibvewadi, Pune (Maharashtra). The Public Meeting decided to form a Permanent Body of Northeastners in Pune, inclusive of all the Students and Working Professionals. As the Former NE Students’ Community Forum was
formed for an INTERIM Purpose, particularly to deal and address the last month Issue (Attacks & Assaults to NE People), it was felt that an organization for the Whole NE people in Pune must be formed. Subsequently, the North East Public Meeting formed a New Organization Called" North East Community Organisation, Pune" in short (NECoP).
This New organisation is made up by all the Eight (8) states of North east India. And from every union/association/community/state, two (2) members each represent in this Organisation.

By this decision, the former NE Students’ Community Forum has been dissolved as the Issue has been settled. Now, this Oganisation will continue to work and engage for the welfare of NE People in Pune. As Pune has been the students/IT hubs and becoming the best Academic City in India, the NECOP envision for making a better place and for more
accessibility in studies/work for the North Easterners even for the days and years to come. We are amazed by response and supports given by our people, Governments, different unions/body during the crisis and troubles. We look forward for further support and encouragements in venturing out the purpose of this organization.
