Normalcy returns to Manipur-Nagaland border
Nagaland Post | Imphal, June 21:
To reduce the ongoing tension between the villagers of Matikhru (Nagaland) and Jessami (Manipur) over the diversion of river water, Jessami villagers have agreed to stop construction of diversion drain.
A report received here said that villagers of Matikhru have also agreed to return the excavator (JCB) allegedly confiscated by them (Matikhru villagers). The JCB used by the Jessami villagers in digging the drain for diversion of river water was allegedly confiscated by the Matikhru villagers.
