No hand in NE rumours : PFI

The Popular Front of India (PFI) has denied any link to the rumourmongering that led to the exodus of northeastern people from Karnataka and other states last month.
Rejecting reports about the possible involvement of its cadres in spreading communally-charged SMSes and internet posts in the wake of the communal strife in Assam, the Kerala-based outfit blamed the "malicious propaganda" on "vested interest groups and communal sections".
