No State land for Nagalim, says Gogoi

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today asserted that under no circumstances would Assam’s land be allowed to be ceded to Nagaland to accommodate the NSCN (IM)’s demand for a greater Nagalim by integrating Naga-inhabited areas of neighbouring States.
Replying to a query during a press conference, the Chief Minister said that the Naga militant outfit had already dropped the demand for integration of Naga-inhabited areas and “even if it calls for autonomy to Naga-inhabited areas in Assam, that cannot take place overriding the authority of the State Government.”
