NSCN (I-M) waiting for positive response from GoI : Swu
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Dec 15 (NPN)
Yaruiwo Isak Chishi Swu has said that NSCN (I-M) has been waiting for a “positive response” from the government of India now since both the parties had on July 18, 2011 agreed to appreciate the complexities of each other’s position and thrash out a settlement despite ups and down.
Swu’s speech on the occasion of the 2012 Tarar Hoho winter session Friday, made available to the media, stated fifteen years of negotiation between the government of India and NSCN (I-M) have also brought “both the parties much closer” bearing in mind the decades of conflict and “military oppression” on the Nagas with the sole purpose of “driving” them into submission.
