NE singers to rock ceremony
The Telegraph | Imtiaz Ahmed & Avishek Sengupta | Guwahati, Feb 15
The closing ceremony of the 12th South Asian Games here and in Shillong tomorrow will be yet another rich display of northeastern culture, like the opening ceremony. The bands include Still Water (Sikkim), Purple Fusion (Nagaland), Salvator (Manipur), The Soul Rebels (Arunachal Pradesh), Boomarang (Mizoram) and Iron Sky (Tripura).
The ceremonial celebrations will include performances by the legendary Lou Majaw and Friends and Mayukh Hazarika's The Brahmaputra Balladeers. To add more flavour, there will be a melange of performances by the Angelos Luit Choir, Sangita Kakati and the crowdpuller Priyanka Bharali.
