Myanmar yet to act against NE ultras

The failure of the Government of Myanmar to flush out militants of the North-east from the territory of that country and the possibility of the militants making efforts to re-establish bases in Bangladesh were two of the issues which received attention in the meeting of the heads of police forces of the states, which concluded in New Delhi today.
Sources said that despite promises made by the Government of Myanmar during the last visit of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to that country, no serious effort has yet been made to drive out the militants camping in that country.
