Myanmar 'intrudes' into Manipur land
- Military personnel dismantle huts in village
The Telegraph | Khelen Thokchom | Imphal, April 24:
Chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh sought details of the incident following reports that military personnel of the neighbouring country had entered Choro Khunou, a border village in Ukhrul district, a few days back, dismantled some houses and told the villagers before leaving that the land belonged to Myanmar, an official said.
Sources said an official team, including police officers, from Ukhrul town left for the tribal village yesterday to probe the incursion report. The village is about 150km from Ukhrul town and 230km from Imphal.
