Most banking anomalies linked to ATMs in NE : Ombudsman

A staggering 52% of all complaints received by the banking ombudsman (BO) for the Northeast region are related to ATMs, revealing a pattern of growing discontent with net banking and debit/credit card issuers.
Interestingly, the region’s banking ombudsman—there are 15 such ombudsmen in India—has received the lowest complaints in the country. It, however, claimed that it has disposed off all the cases in which it rejected the claims of 289 complainants while awarding seven.
