Moirangthem Marjit Singh Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and technology (NERIST) Arunachal Pradesh has been included in the 30th edition of the Marquis Who's Who in the World 2013 New Jersey USA. Inclusion in Marquis Who's Who is limited to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their own fields of endeavour and who have thereby contributed significantly to the betterment of contemporary society.

Professor M. Marjit Singh (born 1980) is the son of Shri M. Khomei Singh and Pujari Devi of Khangabok Cherapur Leikai in Thoubal district. He was a top position holder throughout his school days at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Thoubal , Manipur (1990-1997).

He secured 1st and 2nd positions in the X and XII examinations amongst the candidates of JNVs of eight north eastern states of India, under CBSE New Delhi, 1995 and 1997 respectively. He received B. Tech and M. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering degrees from NERIST and was awarded Gold Medal for securing top position in M. Tech.

Prof. M. Marjit Singh has attended a number of national/international academic conferences.

He is the member of IEEE (USA), IACSIT (Singapore), IAENG (Hong Kong), life member of IETE (New Delhi), ISTE (New Delhi) and IEI (Kolkata).

He was also honoured with 'Indira Gandhi Shiromani Award and Certificate of Excellence' by India International Friendship Society, New Delhi in 2011.
