Manipur official's remark on tokay gecko sale irks People for Animals

People for Animals (PFA), Thoubal, has taken exception to a comment made by Manipur science and technology director that tokay gecko sale should be made legal to boost the state's economy.
Talking at the closing ceremony of the 1st State Level Aquarium Exhibition-cum-Flower Show in Imphal on Tuesday, the director said that if the reptile species did not belong to the endangered group, it should be allowed to be sold by issuing licenses to promote the state's economy.
