Manipur likely to face water scarcity

Public water supply which is included among the essential services is likely to hit in Manipur in the coming few days as work-charge employees of five engineering departments which Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) is also one, has decided to intensify their more than a month ongoing agitation.
Public Works Department (PHED), Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Irrigation and Flood Control Department (IFCD), Electricity Department and Minor Irrigation Department (MID) - under the banner of Joint Co-ordination Committee Engineering Departments (JCCED) Tuesday threatened violent forms of agitation including stoppage of water supply if state government fails to fulfill their demands.
