Manipur bags Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2011
Team Manipur with Shri Subodh Kant Sahai, hon'ble union minister of Tourism, Govt. of India taken at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi
Team Manipur has been awarded the ‘Post that build the best business best in 2011’ by Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2011 on September 12 2011.
The PATA Travel Mart was organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from September 6 to 9 2011 . This is the first international award at an international travel and tourism forum, informed a press release received here.
After winning the first national tourism award at Travel and Tourism Fair 2011 (TTF), Mumbai for 'Most Promising New Destination Award' team Manipur grabbed the first international award for 'Post that build the best business best 2011' by Pacific Asia Tourism Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2011.
During the course of the Travel Mart team Manipur portrayed the potential of what Manipur Tourism has to offer. Primary thrust was emphasized on Health tourism, Tour Packages, Adventure Tourism, Hospitality and Culture exhibit. The award was conferred during the dinner hosted by Philippine Tourism.
Team Manipur is led by Shri. K. K. Chettry, IAS, Commissioner (Tourism), Government of Manipur and comprises of

Shri. HRK Sharma, Managing Director, Seven Sisters Travels,
Mr. Santosh Shekhar, Manager- Shija Hospitals and Research Institute,

Mr. L. Ibochoubi, Tourist Officer, Manipur Tourism.
Team Manipur is focused on promoting Tour and travels, Adventure Tourism, Health Tourism and Hospitality sector.
