Manipur alternative lifeline by 2013

Director General (Lt Gen) S Ravi Shanker of Border Road Organisation (BRO)during an interaction with the media at his brief stopover here on way to Aizawl recently reaffirmed that the construction of 222km Imphal-JiribamRoad (NH-37) which is the second life line of Manipur, would be completed within December next year.
“The construction works on NH 37 is progressing despite having a challenging task on less number of working days due to unstable climate and unavailability of construction materials such as stones”, says Director General. “Around 750 workers are deployed for the construction work”.
