Manipur Tourism awarded 'Winner of Most Promising New Destination Award' at 91st TTF, Mumbai
Manipur Tourism was today awarded the ‘Most Promising New Destination Award’ at concluding day of 91st Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) being held at Nehru Centre, Mumbai from 2nd September to 4th September 2011.
The winner was adjudged from among the participants of the fair, altogether more than 400 stakeholders from around the world participating in the fair.
Shri. M. Iqbal Mulla, President, Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Shri Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman & CEO, Fairfest Media Ltd and Shri Rajiv Agarwal, Executive Director, Fairfest Media Ltd was the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and President of the function.
The award was conferred to Shri. K. K. Chhetry, IAS, Commissioner- Toursim, Govt of Manipur and his team consisting of Shri. L. Ibochoubi, Tourist Officer, Govt. of Manipur, Dr. L. Surjit, President, MMTA, Mr. HRK Sharma, MD, Seven Sisters Holidays, Mr. Santosh Shekhar, Manager- Business Development, Shija Hospitals and Mr. Paonam Sommykanta, Manager, The Classic Hotel for the team effort and showcasing Manipur as the most promising new destination.
This is for the first time the award has been conferred to Manipur for its relentless efforts of the stakeholders in promoting the state as a preferred tourist destination.
