Subject: Invitation to submit research papers to ‘Management Convergence’
‘Management Convergence’ is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal which is edited by the Department of Management Mizoram University, Aizawl-796004. It is an open access free journal where paper contributors are encouraged to participate and contribute quality and plagiarism-free papers without any cost.
It addresses mainly to the academic interest of young managers, researchers, academicians and also to other specialists in adjacent fields of research that focus their attention on general and particular issues related to management, economics, and commerce.
The editorial board of ‘Management Convergence’ invites quantitative, qualitative, conceptual or review paper (s) for publication and would like to express its gratitude for your contribution to the journal in advance.
Guidelines for Authors & Ethics Policy
1. The manuscript may be quantitative, qualitative, conceptual or review paper, neatly typed on one side of A-4 size papers with double space within 12-15 pages. (Font-12 pt; Style-Times New Roman).
2. The permitted plagiarism has to be as per UGC guidelines.
3. The author will have free access to the journal.
4. All manuscript has to be written in British English.
5. Soft copies of the manuscript(s) should be submitted to the e-mail: [email protected] without the author(s) name mentioned on the body of the manuscript (s) except on the cover page and in similar pattern hard copy to be submitted.
6. The manuscript(s) should be accompanied with an abstract of a brief biographical sketch of the author(s) within 150 words.
7. There should be separate title page containing the title of the manuscript(s), author(s) name, designation, detailed address with E-mail ID, mobile number and acknowledge, if any.
8. A declaration certificate should be submitted in a separate sheet stating that the manuscript(s) is his/her original contribution neither accepted to be published nor elsewhere published.
9. All contributions submitted will be subjected to peered blind review and the decision of the Editorial Committee will be final at all.
10. Manuscript(s) not considered/accepted for publication shall be informed to the respective contributor(s) through return of e-mail message.
11. Captions, Footnotes and References
o ll the tables, figures and the graphs should have captions. In captions for tables, figures, graphs and column heading in tables, the first letter of the first word should be capitalized and all other words should be in lower case (except proper nouns). For example, Table 2. India’s trade with USA.
o Footnotes in the text should be numbered consecutively in plain Arabic superscripts. All the footnotes, if any, should be typed under the heading ‘Footnotes’ at the end of the paper immediately after ‘Conclusion’. However the footnotes should be avoided in general if they can be substituted by relevant number of references.
o Follow the Author-date (Harvard) system for in-text reference: e.g. Raman (1998) observed that…A study (Prasad et.al. 1995) found that…. When it is necessary to refer a specific page(s) of a book, cite it in the text as Raman (1998, p. 112) observed that… A study (Prasad et.al. 1995,pp.71-86) found that…. If more than one paper by the year: e.g. Raman 1998a, Raman 1998b, and Raman 1998c, so on.
o Only cited works should be included in the ‘References’, which should appear at the end of the paper. Follow the reference citation strictly in accordance to the following examples.
Book: Jiambalvo, J. (2001). Managerial Accounting, New York: John Wiley & Sons, Inc., pp.20-25.
Government Publications: Annual Report 2002-03. New Delhi: Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Banking.
Chapter in a Book: Gilberto Mendoza. (1995). A primer on marketing channels and margins. Pages 257-276 in Prices, Products and People (Gregory J Scott, ed.). London. Lynne Rienner Publishers.
10. Manuscripts that do not conform to the above guidelines will not be considered for publication. All copyrights will be with the Department of Management, Mizoram University, Aizawl (India). However, the opinions expressed in the articles of this journal will be those of the authors, and will not in any way reflect the objectives or opinion of the Department of Management, Mizoram University, Aizawl (India). Reproducing of any material published in the Journal will require prior written permission of the Editor.
