Peace comes through sacrifice! And to bring back peace to strife-torn Karbi Anglong, the Kuki population sacrificed a pig and offered prayers to god.
Torn by factional feuds among various militant groups, the Kuki population in Karbi Anglong offered prayers to bring back peace in the society on Tuesday. A day-long customary process to bring peace, Hem Kham is a traditional form of prayer to resolve conflict. This time around, it was organised to put an end to the internecine clashes between the Kuki insurgent groups.
