Kaleidoscope of life
Dr Ranbir Laishram *
Getting drowned in my own world
Thinking about Pandemic woes.
Chaos and dilemmas all around,
Thinking of the new normal life,
Wondering how long to wait.
For everyone to be free,
Free from pandemic cage.
Getting lost in the worldly 'Maya'
Pandemic-enforced captivity.
Scribbling on the mobile screen,
And scanning through the TV;
An illusion as it is
Far from the reality,
But I miss dearly my workplace
Alike everyone waiting with hope.
Loved ones are tied down,
In family life cycle.
A situation never experienced before
Hard and good times of Pandemic.
Companions of life
Seemingly pretty burdensome to each other,
Unexpected tragedies, sometimes
Crimes against humanity,
Amongst near and dear ones.
The Nature gets drowned amid chaos.
As she enjoys an eerie silence and the azure sky
The fresh air and the birdsongs.
The serenity all around.
The Earth is round,
What goes around comes around.
Will the hubbub of a chaotic city come back?
The worldly order from the pre-covid Normal to New normal
From New normal to a post- covid different World,
A silver lining at the horizon.
Humans are forced to lead
A new way of life.
But after how long?
Will life ever get back on track?
How long will we continue to wait?
Drowned in my own world,
I forgot to live this moment called Life.
