Jibon Thokchom selected for the National Youth Award 2015
Thokchom Jibon of Manipur announced as the winner of the prestigious "National Youth Award 2015" by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
Thokchom Jibon Singh (21) S/O Thokchom Madhu Singh of Khangabok Makha Leikai Part III, a founder member of Club25 International Manipur has been selected as the winner of the prestigious "National Youth Award 2015" by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India for his contribution towards community services.
The Prestigious Award Presentation Ceremony will be held at Raipur, Chattisgarh during the National Youth Festival from 12th January to 16th January, 2016. The award carries a cash award of Rs.40,000 with a medal, a shawl and a Citation.
A village boy, grown up as a social leader in Manipur, not only in the state, he is also the man behind the two biggest world youth event namely Global Youth Meets 2014 and the World Youth Summit 2015 which provides a big platform for the world youths to empower themselves.
He begins his career under the guidance of Shri Kanarjit Kangujam, a well-known Social Activists from Manipur. Currently, he is working as the Treasurer of Club25 International Manipur and also a member of World Youth Summit Organizing Committee. He was also served as a member of the rescue and relief team during the Nepal Massive Earthquake.
In the past, he also received "International Humanitarian Award 2015", "Best Volunteer Award 2014 of Club25", "Netaji Subhash Chandra Bosh National Award 2014"etc.
