JS-MHRD did not meet with MUTA Office-Bearers
Date :: 22nd June , 2018
A report in a local newspaper on 22 June 2018 has drawn the attention of the Association as it has the potential to portray a wrong interpretation of the stand of MUTA
on the current crisis in Manipur University. The report mentions that some teachers of Manipur University have met the Joint Secretary of MHRD who visited Imphal recently.
MUTA earnestly seeks to clarify that no member of MUTA has met the Joint Secretary while he was in Imphal. If any teacher of the Manipur University has met any Joint
Secretary of MHRD representing Manipur University Teachers’ Community in connection with the present imbroglio in the institute. it is a very unfortunate and unpardonable act.
MUTA strongly condemns such unwarranted acts and earnestly appeals to our esteemed teachers not to commit such acts in future without knowledge of MUTA.
MUTA is also deeply dismayed with the JS for not meeting the MUTA Office-Bearers. The Association deeply regrets his act of ignoring the Association while the University is embroiled in an unprecedented crisis.
The Association also whole-heartedly appeals to all the Teacher’s Associations, Political parties, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Senior Citizen Groups, Students’
Bodies and all concerned Stakeholder Groups to extend their unstinted support towards resolving the crisis besieging the University.
