JLF meet on Naga political issue cancelled

Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie has informed that the meeting of the Joint Legislators’ Forum (JLF) of Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled for today stands cancelled as the representatives of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) expressed their inability to attend it through the leader of Opposition.
Meanwhile, a release issued by NPCC president SI Jamir informed that the Opposition party held a meeting today to deliberate on the proposed suggestion made by the JLF on December 10 to consult all political parties, civil societies and the church organisations to request the Government of India for deferment of the State Assembly elections due in March 2013 till a solution is arrived at.
