The Kuki Welfare Association, Delhi & NCR came into being on 11 February 2012 at the General Body Meeting of Kuki communities in Delhi & NCR as the need of such platform felt eminent. The formation of KWA, Delhi & NCR was in real shaped after deliberate and prolonged discussion and consultation of Kuki Students' Organization, Delhi Branch, Kuki Worship Service, Delhi and the Kuki Inpi Delhi (KID-Interim). The KID-Interim body was unanimously rejected & abolished at the General Body Meeting of the Kuki communities in Delhi & NCR on 11 February 2012.
It took more than a year, including two (2) General Body Meeting and four (4) Consultative Meeting of the above said organizations, to bring a concrete consensus and the suitable platform-Kuki Welfare Association, Delhi & NCR, to cater the welfare related issues of the Kukis in Delhi & NCR.
With the formation of KWA, Delhi & NCR, the Kuki communities of Delhi & NCR are henceforth under the people's authorization and administrative banner of Kuki Students' Organization, Delhi, Kuki Worship Service, Delhi and Kuki Welfare Association, Delhi & NCR, politico-academy, spiritual/religion and socio-cultural, respectively.
We appeal to all fellow Kukis and the public in Delhi & NCR and the Kukis across the length and breadth of India and elsewhere, to render their support and strengthen the above-mentioned forums to bring change in the society.
