Health Checkup / Covid Awareness camp at Tamenglong
44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 sector/ IGAR(East), carried on with its unique health care initiative to reach out among local populace of remote villages of Tamenglong district. Contributing towards ‘Fit India Movement’ and as a part of “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV”, 44 Assam Rifles medical team organised a free "Door to Door" Health Checkup / Covid Awareness camp in Mandu and Phoklong Khullen village of Tamenglong district on 12 Apr 2022.
The battalion medical staff carrying essential medicines treated elders, needy and underprivileged locals from nearby villages. The beneficiaries were treated for common ailments and given generic medicines free of cost.
The battalion Medical team carried out basic health check up for the attendees. The medical team of battalion addressed various med issues of locals and assured them of unit’s unwavering commitment to ensure wellbeing of people of the Tamenglong district.
During the camp, Approximately 40 civilians including women and children were attended by the battalion medical team and free generic medicines were distributed to the beneficiaries.
