Haggai AND I
Lunminthang Haokip *
1.Across filthy lanes of life's risky curves,
Heart-driven I was to a worldly swerve;
Deeply grieved, to God cried my better-half
That the Lord may tame me her bitter-half;
The tear-drops she shed did not go waste,
My Lord saved me to heavenly joy taste.
2.Freed from sin's tight grip, I was saved to serve,
Grace worked, I no more got on people's nerve;
Tipped to suffer the pang of doing His will,
God made me saner to endure sad grills;
But somewhere my desires wired me to lie;
And when I in doubt groped as fallen guy,
It's called to attend session at Haggai;
On a roll, the lessons meet my heart-cry;
I praise God that by faith, I's chosen
To be x-rayed by John Haggai's vision
That recast reason to light up ev'ry season
To mould raw leaders for the Lord's Mission.
3.At Haggai, courses are vast and propped-up
To be hauled over by Haggai-culture.
The Teachers are world-class and all geared up;
The Learner is taught in ways unusual,
Caught better are in-puts audio-visual;
Guys from all over come with own culture.
4.Issues of my land keep me under stress,
Modules in hand skip none but all address;
The gaps my past preaching failed to appeal,
At Singap, my good Lord to me reveals;
I's one who drove car but couldn't repair,
Haggai fuels to drive better and repair.
