Fresh lease of life in NERAMAC

The North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Ltd (NERAMAC) has inducted Manoj Kumar Das in its helms at a time when enterprising fraternity in the northeastern region are having a tough time.
Das joined as managing director in the Central Public Sector Enterprise in addition to his current assignment in the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) as Deputy General Manager.
Earlier Das served as the Director of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) Guwahati for close to three and harf years and revived it with several innovative initiatives. NERAMAC hopes same temperament in Das to be back on tracks.
NERAMAC (North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Ltd.) appoints Mr. Manoj Kumar Das as its new managing Director, from April 1.
Das holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering with First Class & Distinction from Saurashtra University, Gujarat and followed by a First Class MBA degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India). He also has Certificate in French Language and Pragya, Parangat in Hindi. Currently he is pursuing PhD in Entrepreneurship from University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Das has served as Deputy General Manager (Advisory & Consultancy) in North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi), Guwahati. He has a wide range of experience in Administration, Networking, Government Affairs, Entrepreneurship Development, Social Entrepreneurship, Skill Development, Mentoring, Consultancy & Advisory, Project Finance& Management, Project Development and Cluster Development Areas.
The NERAMAC Limited was incorporated in the year 1982 as a marketing organization in the field of Agri-Horti sector of the North-eastern region, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER). It was set up to support farmers/producers of North East getting remunerative prices for their produce and thereby bridge the gap between the farmers and the market and also to enhance the agricultural, procurement, processing and marketing infrastructure of the Northeastern Region of India.
