After weeks of panic and tension followed by mass exodus of Northeast professionals and students from south Indian city of Bengalore over SMS threats, normalcy, especially for the region’s people, has finally returned to the Karnataka capital. Several Northeast diaspora who chose to stay back despite the threat and tension worked closely with the city police and administration to normalise the situation.
Various diaspora organisations, city police and administration on Friday finally felt confident enough to celebrate the passing of the dark times with dinner and musical extravaganza that saw all stakeholders come together for a safer future.
