The first leg of the North-East Benefit Show 2012 was held on February 26 2012 at Café Morrison, New Delhi spurred up by a notable social didactic theme - One night One show One cause, a charity effort to raise funds and awareness for the upcoming online social magazine www.sevendiary.com to promote the culture, travel and lifestyle of the northeast region.
The artists line-up included the freestyle hip-hop act Last Renaissance, which is fronted by lead rapper B.K Hrangkhawl who hails from Tripura, joining them next was the Imphal based indie rock band The Dirty Strikes pumping up a thick cloud of energy and enthusiasm to pervade the audience.

Even better still, as their set took off the clenched fists and cheers echoed from various corners. They played an hour straight set clasped with addictive honky tight performance belting out their catchy infectious hooks and original numbers such as Where do I belong, When she kiss me she really kiss and so more.
The starlets of the night were the all-girl band The Vinyl Records headlining the bill. As usual, they proved their stage presence and charisma with impeccable fresh new wave indie sound. Before ending their set, they were joined by Ravi Arora and Vasav Vashisht from the popular New Delhi based rock band Prestorika performing two cover songs by Extreme.
Meanwhile, at the conclusion of the show, gallons of appreciations and good luck wishes for the successful launch of the website came along too. “Today a senior officer from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy just walked up and said he really enjoyed the event, and expressed his interest to associate with us for their northeast expo events in the future. I think it’s a good sign” said John Hingkung, the founder of Sevendiary grinned with a tired smile.
