Expo to highlight North East art, industry
The Telegraph | Guwahati, Sept. 26:
N-E Trade Expo is aimed at encouraging women entrepreneurs and projecting the richness of different communities of the Northeast, organisers said today. The expo to be held from September 28 to October 14 at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre will feature 175 stalls, including 10 from south India and 27 stalls from other countries like Bangladesh, Thailand, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and Ghana.
The exhibition is being held under the aegis of the organising committee of NE Trade Expo, NGO Prithibi and Percept Network, an event management group. The event will also see competitions for children like drawing, pottery, dancing and fashion shows being organised. Singer J.P. Das and TUT, an organisation promoting music will come together to hold a rock concert, “NE Rockz: Peace in Veins”, from September 5 to 14, at the venue.
