Education and skills the only way to break the bottlenecks and will allow Manipur to participates in today's economic and developmental race.

Human beings today need to have a specific set of skills to survive in this competitive world as well as progress. This set of skills can be referred to as Education. But education doesn't mean only the skills, education teaches us what and why are we on this planet, education teaches us the humanity, it teaches us to think rational, how to lead a meaningful life.

Education help us to build a beautiful nation and the earth a better place to live. But an extraordinary care must be take to impart right education to the people so that they can rationally apply what they had learned, in the progress of society and nation building. Unfortunately our(Manipur) today's education system is more or less like a business institution which focuses only on textbooks knowledge and scores on papers it seems like education is just all about scoring marks, to get a pety job, and earn some money that's it.

We often says that students or say education is the pillar of the nation but it is also equally important that the pillar is strong, rigid and placed at right place.

Education is important for a country to grow. Whether it is economically or socially, education plays a vital role in the growth of these two important factors.

Here are some important ways in which education helps in a country’s progress

People agree that all children have the right to an education. But investing in education is also the smart thing to do. Why? Because education gives people the skills they need to help themselves out of poverty and into prosperity.

o Improved Health: With education, people are better prepared to prevent disease and to use health services effectively. For example, young people who have completed primary education are less than half as likely to contract HIV as those with little or no schooling. Educated mothers have healthier children. Around 2971 children are infected with HIV in Manipur today

o Higher wages and economic growth: In many poor countries, with each additional year of schooling, people earn 10% higher wages. These earnings, in turn, contribute to national economic growth. Today Manipur is living with per capita income of $900 which is less then our neighbour and countries like south sudan. No country has ever achieved continuous and rapid growth without reaching an adult literacy rate of at least 40%.

o Democracy and political stability: Education supports the growth of civil society, democracy, and political stability, allowing people to learn about their rights and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to exercise them. Which is very much lacking in our society and is the reason for on going conflicts in the state.

BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES: THE POWER OF EDUCATING GIRLS

The education of girls, which is restricted in some countries, yields benefits that extend beyond themselves to their communities and to the society at large.

o A woman with six or more years of education is more likely to seek prenatal care, assisted childbirth, and postnatal care, reducing the risk of maternal and child mortality and illness.

o Educated mothers are 50% more likely to immunize their children than mothers with no schooling.

o The majority of farmers in the developing world are women. Greater female education leads to more productive farming and accounts for over 40% of the decline in malnutrition achieved since 1970.Today our female literacy rate struck to 70% which is very less compare to other neibouring states.

Having a good education system, the schools, institutes, and universities need obtain a good structure of learning, and teaching for children, and students. The main role of structure of teaching, and learning became complex, where great majority of society think that, the schools are major responsible for teaching, and learning of students.

Nevertheless, parents, and society, must work as whole, having as result of make them prepared for the society. The structure of environment at schools given to the students, should occur healthy, not just physically, but also mentally, and socially.

The comfort, is required and, the classes must be well ventilated, and large enough to accommodate the students, and even though some schools obtain smaller classes, is essential obtain small group of students, then teacher will have more flexibility for teaching, and give individual attention to them.

Therefore education dramatically changes people’s way of thinking. Such people will begin to think in a modern way which will improve both themselves and their society. For example, when children or adults receive a good education, they are expected to discover or invent new things which will tremendously contribute in the growth and development of their country. Consequently, it can be admitted that such education enormously influenced people’s way of thinking in a positive way.

The second reason why education is of a great importance is that it eases and facilitates the communication among countries. In other words, education greatly enables a country to easily and smoothly deal or contact with another country.

For example, when people tend to learn a unified language to be the lingua franca among them, they will not face or encounter any communication difficulty. Hence, we can infer that education has its effective role in building a strong relationships within countries.

In conclusion, there is no doubt that education has its vital role in developing the mentality of people and the means of communication among them. If people pay much care to education, they are, without doubt, heading towards a development and prosperity of their countries
