Drive against army AFSPA act at the UN

The Naga People’s Movement for Human Rights has asked the UN to intervene to repeal the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958.
Speaking at 12th session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues at UN headquarters in New York recently, the executive member and former convener of the movement, Niengulo Krome, said because of the act over 3,00,000 Nagas have died in the political conflict in the past 60 years.
