Dispur's all-out effort to ensure success of special train
Seven Sisters Post | Guwahati (Sept 15):
Once bitten, twice shy. Wary of getting poor response in running a special train for the third time, the state government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the train does not run empty this time around. Hence, Dispur has roped in students’ and youth organisations like the All Assam Students’ Union, National Students Union of India, Youth Congress, All Bodo Students’ Union, TMPK, MMK, etc., to spread the word about the special train leaving Guwahati on September 20 and that it is free.
And it has apparently also succeeded in its mission. For, overwhelming response of people eager to return to their work place in the southern states by the special train has compelled the state government to extend the last date for registration of passengers.
