“Deeper Introspection on Electoral Politics” in the context of Phungyar Constituency
Delhi, 16th July, 2016
Delhi today witnessed another huge gathering concerning electoral reforms with special reference to Phungyar Constituency. The meeting was attended by around 120 people in the Conference Hall of Delhi University to discuss and introspect deeper on the electoral politics and the prevailing situation back home for an inclusive and progressive change to be ushered in Phungyar constituency.
The meeting participants included government employees, research scholars, private employees, leaders, students, and well-wishers from both Phungyar constituency and other part of Ukhrul district staying in Delhi NCR.
The meeting expressed its deep concern and displeasure with the rumour in social media and further speculation or perception through few vested interest individuals that people in Delhi from Phungyar constituency and others are supporting Mr. Leishiyo Keishing for the coming Assembly election.
It was declared in the meeting to clarify categorically once and for all that this propaganda is totally untrue and out rightly rejected such a claim. Such wrong rumour and propaganda brings only confusion and division among us rather than peace and harmony.
The members present deliberated intensively and resolved to support a candidate who is intellectually qualified; having experience of serving for long time in different works of life in different capacities; the person matured in age who can give a serious thought on any issue and take firm and clear decision in the interest of people, matured in action, behaviour, speeches and thought; sincere and honest to his people and to the political party under which he is going to serve the people.
Above all, we the people of Phungyar constituency would extend whole hearted support to the candidate who has living testimony of having relationship with God and heard His calling to serve us as our servant, not to be our boss.
It was also declared that the peoples mandate and party decision should be honoured and respected for the larger interest of the Phungyar constituency.
