(The Dates According to Hindu Tradition Calender)

Dr. Sapam Nabakishore Singh *

Lord Krishna descends Himself millennium after millennium for the specific purposes of mitigating the anxieties of the pure devotees, who are very anxious to see Him in His original Vrindavan Pastimes. Therefore, the prime purpose of the Krishna Avatara is to satisfy His unalloyed devotees. When He descends from the Kingdom of God for material manifestation, He assumes the name Avatara.

JULY 13, THURSDAY, 3230 B.C.

Lord Krishna In His original form, Lord Krishna appeared at mid-night, sravani Krishna astami from the heart of mother Devaki as four armed Vishnu so that His father and mother could understand their son was the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

The Vishnu Puranam stated that it was a dreadful night with heavy rain and violent wind. As soon as He appeared, Lord Krishna advised Vasudeva to carry Him across the river Yamuna- beginning His Pastimes. Ananta Naag with expanded hoods protected Lord Krishna and Vasudeva from torrential rains sent by the demigod Indra. The Padma Puranam (Pages 2112-2125) describes about the Foot Prints of Lord Shri Krishna.

Lord Shri Krishna performed His earthly Pastimes in Dvapur Yuga as follows:

Vraja Leela – 11 years 6 months.

One day, Krishna’s playmates complained to mother Yosada that He had eaten earth. Wanting to show His mouth, Yosada maya was astonished to see the entire universe inside Krishna’s mouth.
