Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology is an autonomous research organization fully funded by
the Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi. It is a premier Institute of national and international
repute, devoted to research in various aspects of Weather and Climate Sciences. The Institute has
excellent infrastructural facilities such as high performance computer, observational laboratories,
modern library, workshop, etc. It has a strong link with various Universities and national and
international organizations.
IITM is looking out for a personnel well versed in Desk Top Publishing as well as possesses
knowledge of maintaining websites for its International Clivar Monsoon Project Office ( ICMPO)
based at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune. For this it is proposed to recruit one DTP
Operator on short term contract basis initially for a period of 3 years renewable up to 5 years
depending on the performance of the candidate on a fixed salary of ` 22,000/- per month.
Interested candidates with a degree in Bachelor in Computer Applications with minimum 60%
marks and a post graduate Diploma in Desk Top Publishing (DTP) consisting of the modules like
PageMaker, Coral Draw, Photoshop, html, Dreamweaver, Flash player etc. with 3 years as DTP
Operator and content management for websites may walk-in for Interview on 28th May 2014 up to
1000 hrs along with the original certificates.

as under:
DTP Operator: 1 Post
Qualifications:
1. A degree in Bachelor in Computer Applications with minimum 60% marks.

Required Skills for the DTP Operator :
o Should be imaginative and full of new ideas and thoughts dedicated and hardworking.
o Should possesses intensive knowledge of DTP software and other basic operations of the computer along with basic knowledge of English.
o Capacity to work hard with commitment and honesty
o Imagination and intelligence of mind and adaptability to follow difficult time schedules.
Experience: 3 years as DTP Operator and content management for websites.
Other details:
Age: 25 to 35 years as on 25.05.2014. Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for physically handicapped and as per rule for ex-servicemen.
Consolidated Emoluments:-Rs. 22,000/- per month
Tenure: Temporary post for a period of 3 years renewable up to 5 years depending on the performance of the candidate.
