Cry Of A Dying River...73
Rajendra Kshetri *
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that is struggling to flow
Caught as it is in the 'Chakravyu' of plastics
The river that is battling for life
Losing as it is against the might of humans
The river that worships environment and loves human
The very humans who destroy environment
Environment without which humans cannot survive
If only if only humans realise this:
HUMANS NEED ENVIRONMENT MORE THAN ENVIRONMENT NEEDS HUMANS.
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that never ceases to wonder
The human follies and fooleries
Humans who love dams and deforestation
Humans who love 'mining' and mindless excavation
Humans whose wanton activities ensue ecological imbalance
Humans whose unparalleled greed makes the planet earth endangered
The river that is ever hopeful of a Re-awakening
Of humans men and women
Who must/should save ENVIRONMENT for their own survival.
