Cry Of A Dying River...70
Rajendra Kshetri *
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that flows in the land of 'Faces' poker
'Double faced' 'quadruple faced' 'multiple faced'
Faces that smile if and when 'Power ' smiles
Faces that are fast and furious if and when 'Powerfuls' are not in elements
Faces that conceal more than they reveal
Faces that are superficial and superfluous
Faces that launched a thousand'Contracts' and 'Contractors '
Faces that have lost the genuineness of face
The river that has been defaced by faces.
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that is the 'face of Imphal City'
Face of Imphal City!!!
The face festered by fabrication
The face that has lost its sheen
The face that is plastered with plastics
The face that needs a 'surgical strike '
A 'surgical strike' to terminate terrorism of plastics
The river that is an innocent victim of plastic terrorism
Dear State! Oh dear citizens! Who will bell the cat???
