Cry Of A Dying River...55
Rajendra Kshetri *
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that never sleeps
"When you rise in the morning sun"
Ask not what you asked
"How deep is your love"
Ask what you should be asking
HOW DEEP IS THE DEPTH OF NAMBUL
Ask not what Nambul can do for you
Ask what you can do for Nambul
If Nambul dies Loktak dies too.
I am no longer the rivet I was once
The river that is adorned with plastics
Plastics that pulverised the natural flow
The river that puffs with plastics
Plastics that plunder the riverine ecosystem
The river that flows along the bed of plastics
Plastics that paralyse the meandering water course
The river that breathes and inhales plastics
Plastics that poison the Nambul panorama
Plastics that is pandemic to the world of water bodies.
