BACKGROUND:
RCH 2 programme is being implemented by MOHFW with financial and technical support from Development Partners. It is proposed to have a consultant – RCH Monitoring to assist overall execution of RCH program and its monitoring & evaluation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assisting the Programme divisions in MOHFW in the overall monitoring of RCH- II/ NRHM Programmes;
2. Preparing database on RCH- II Programme Implementation Plans (PIPs) with regard to planning, organizing data sets, appraisals, NPCC meetings and records of proceedings;
3. Coordinating with the Programme Divisions to ensure timely data inputs for effective preparation of database and feedback to states;
4. Monitoring, facilitating trouble shooting and reporting of progress made in implementation of the RCH- II Programme on the basis of approved PIPs;
5. Attending various meetings in connection with monitoring and evaluation of RCH- II Programme at state, regional and national level review meetings;
6. Carrying out all incidental jobs relating to monitoring of RCH- II Programme;
7. Participating in the joint Review Missions/ Common Review Missions;
8. Providing regular reports to Programme division as and when required.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:
Qualification:
Minimum: Post Graduate Degree in Statistics/IT/Health Management or related field from a reputed institute.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in data analysis/design and implementation of planning and monitoring systems in the health/allied sectors
Required Competencies:
o Working knowledge of IT and communication hardware and software
o Programme management, capacity building and supervisory support experience
o Strong interpersonal relations, communication and team-work skills
o Ability to speak, read and write in English and Hindi language is mandatory;
o K Knowledge and proficiency in report writing in English is mandatory;
o Willing to travel frequently.
COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Rs. 5 to 6.5 Lakhs per annum. No additional benefits.
DURATION OF CONTRACT:
The consultant will be recruited for one year, renewable. The consultant will be awarded a contract by an UNFPA appointed agency.
