Climate adaptation projects for Northeast

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has taken up three projects in the Northeast under the National Adaptation Fund on Climate Change from this year.
The rural development bank has also taken up a four-year eco-village model project at Phayeng in Manipur at a cost of Rs 10 crore. "The eco-village (zero carbon) project will blend traditional and modern climate adaptive practices for agriculture and allied sectors to enhance resilience of traditional livelihood systems. It will benefit 1,200 households of Phayeng," Kumar said.
