Bharat bandh cripples northeast
Times of India | TNN | Sep 21, 2012, 12.22PM IST
Barring Nagaland and Mizoram, life in other NE states was paralyzed on Thursday due to the NDA and Left-sponsored Bharat bandh called in protest against the Centre's decision to allow FDI in multi-brand retail, diesel price hike and cap on subsidized LPG cylinders.
The 12-hour strike was total in Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.
